Griffin Club is a historic, one-of-a-kind property that brings people together in a meaningful way. Through investments that enhance the amenities, infrastructure and programming, Meriwether is building upon the Club’s legacy for future generations.
Founded in 1926, the Griffin Club, formerly the Beverly Hills Country Club, has enjoyed a long rich history of providing the highest quality facilities, services and dining for West LA’s business and social leaders and their families. In recent years, the Club fell into a state of disrepair. Meriwether, in a joint venture with Singerman Real Estate, acquired the Club in May 2015. The business plan included more than $20MM of renovations to the clubhouse, pools, tennis courts and surrounding landscape of the 4-acre site.
The Club was sold to a new private ownership group in 2022, which generated significant financial returns for the ownership group. Meriwether was retained on a long-term management agreement to continue managing both operations and strategic capital investment. The Club continues to be amongst the finest family, sport, and social clubs in Los Angeles. Griffin Club is both a financial success for investors and, once again, a cherished Club for the Los Angeles community it serves.
