Already one of the most respected hospitality brands in the Bay Area, The PlumpJack Group partnered with Meriwether to transform its existing PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn into a boutique mixed use development to better serve the current and next generation of visitors.

In mid-2014, Meriwether Companies entered into a joint venture partnership with PlumpJack Group to redevelop the iconic PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn property, located at the base of Squaw Valley Ski Resort in Olympic Village, California. Originally constructed to house delegates of the 1960 Winter Olympics, the Inn has long been celebrated for its service, ambiance, and lively après-ski bar scene. Located steps from the Aerial Tram, the property offers the ultimate in convenience and access. Visitors and residents of Squaw Valley enjoy world class ski terrain, mountain and road biking, hiking and proximity to nearby Lake Tahoe. Meriwether completed the design and entitlement process in 2017 with a planned development for 60 hotel rooms and 34 residences. Award-winning CCY Architects, based in Basalt, Colorado, was tasked with re-imagining the property with a forward-thinking design which retains the warmth and charm of the existing Inn.

Although the project was fully approved, Meriwether’s role at PlumpJack Squaw Valley ended in 2018 and completion of the project is on hold.
