Transfer Telluride is a unique venture: a development project rooted in historical significance, with an eye towards future enjoyment, both private and public.
In the fall of 2013, Meriwether acquired a parcel of land in downtown Telluride known as the Four Corners. Purchased from the Zoline family, whose patriarch is the founder of Telluride Ski Resort, the property is located on one of the most iconic sites in Telluride, kitty corner from the gondola, and was effectively the last infill development parcel in town. In partnership with Telluride Arts and the Zoline Family, Meriwether embarked on a redevelopment project christened Telluride Transfer, and broke ground on the first phase of development in Winter 2015. Completed in December of 2019, the mixed-use development included luxury residences, affordable housing, commercial space and the ongoing restoration of the iconic Transfer Warehouse, turning it into a public asset and cultural epicenter for the arts, events and community gatherings. Transfer Telluride sold its final residential and commercial properties in 2021. Residential sales prices set new high water marks in the Telluride market and generated significant financial returns.
